Sámi Grand Prix 2012 Major Investment

Sami Easterfestival launches additional price money to the winners of Sami Grand Prix 2012

The lucky winners of this years Sami Grand Prix will both get an invitation from Sami Easterfestival to hold a concert at Easter 2013.

The winner of the joikfinal in Sami Grand Prix 2012 gets nkr. 15 000 and an invitation to hold a joik-concert in 2013. After conducted concert the joiker will receive a fee of 30 000 nkr.
The winner of the songfinal in Sami Grand Prix 2012 gets nkr. 15 000 and an invitation to hold a concert in 2013. The fee for the songfinal winner, after conducted concert will be nkr. 50 000.
The concerts will be held at Bakteharji Maundy Thursday 2013.

The deadline to submit entries for this years Sami Grand Prix is set to February 17. A jury will select 6 contributions to the songfinal and 10 contributions to the joikfinal. The finals will be held in Bakteharji Easter Saturday 2012.

Conditions

• You have to be at least 16 years old to participate in Sami Grand Prix.
• The songs have to be in sami.
• It is allowed to use vocal-samples, but the main vocal have to be performed LIVE.
• If the song don't have programmed sounds, then the Sami Grand Prix band playes with the artist.
• If instruments are used in a joik, then the joik have to participate in the song contest.
• Plagiarism is not accepted.
• The contribution must not be made public before Sami Grand Prix.
