SÁMI GRAND PRIX 2022!

SUBMISSIONS IS CLOSED. 
 

The Sámi Grand Prix is ​​Sápmi's biggest music event, and every year brand new songs and yoiks are presented.

Sámi Grand Prix 2022 is arranged Easter Eve 16.04.2022 in Báktehárji and is broadcasted live on NRK 1, NRK TV and radio. You can watch the show and vote for your favorite wherever you are. 

Throughout the ages, some of our greatest artists and yoikers have participated, and a lot of Sami music history has been created from the SGP stage.

Songs submitted to the song category in Sámi Grand Prix must be new (not comersially published earlier) and written in one or more of the Sámi languages. Yoiks must also be new and not previously published, and follow one of the Sámi yoiktraditions. 

The winner of each of the categories will recieve NOK 20 000 each and an offer to perform at the Sami  Easter Festival the following year for a fee of NOK 50 000. Second prize is NOK 10 000 and third prize NOK 5 000.
 

Anyone can submit a song/yoik, but the person performing the song/yoik on stage must be at least 16 years old.

SÁMI GRAND PRIX 2022

The yoik category in Sámi Grand Prix 2021 was won by Máhtte Ánte J. Sara with Karen Marianne's yoik. The song category was won by Hildá Länsman and Lávre with the song "Jođi". Congratulations!

Sámi Grand Prix 2021 was held in a studio and shown live at NRK2 and streamed on NRK Sápmi's website.
