About the Event
Reindeer racing is an old Easter tradition that is much older than the festival itself. At Easter, the Sámi people gathered and celebrated among themselves, and held races to find out who had the fastest reindeer, before spring migration and they moved to the summer grazing areas on the coast with their reindeer. Reindeer racing will be arranged like back in the old days, with sledges and both the racer and the reindeer will be decorated with beautiful Sámi colors.
This event is in collaboration with Sokki Adventure.
